The legend was that in time of famine, the mother pelican wounded herself, striking her breast with the beak to fee her young with her blood to prevent starvations. Another version of the legend was that the mother fed her dying young with her blood to revive them from death, but in turn lost her own life.
The foundation of this piece is built off sacred geometry, The Sacred "Metatron." This is the key to the universe. Everything that exists does so because of sacred geometry. The belief that God created the universe according to this geometric plan. The birth of life.
